The International Day of the Girl Childis celebrated globally on October 11th every year, aiming to promote the rights, well-being, and empowerment of girls worldwide. This report highlights the events and initiatives that took place on this day at Jhelum Campus to raise awareness and advocate for the rights of girls.
Access students were shown a powerpoint presentation on International Day of the Girl Child highlighting issues on Education, Child Marriage, Gender Based Violance and Healthcare Access followed by sharing with them the inspirational stories of Michelle Obama and Malala Yuosafzia.
The girls then wrote their dreams, shared inspirational stories of successful ladies with their fellows from their villages and made slogans.
